i try hard to mix up posts on here. so, it is unusual for me to post twice about the same thing so soon after another post (see previous post). so, here is a post about sewing linen, though this time it is a guide to making your own napkins.
as an aside, my parents made napkins when i was a kid (i’ve told you before we were a different sort of family, right?), here is probably how they did it…just with pictures and nicer fabric (read: less hippie).

summer is fast upon us. time to put away the thick blankets and pull out the thin stuff. linen is an all-time summer favorite.

for those who like to be authentic (or as nearly as possible given our modern times), here is how the old masters used to make surfaces for painting.

how-to, number two…have featured this before, but always good to get a second opinion. great option for when you are making toys or need to get a really nice, finished look.

my friend in grad school really made some beautiful stuff this way. it seemed pretty simple, but it was a LOT of work. worth it though in the end, if you ask me.

don’t know about you, but these things always seem so intimidating. not so much now.

if you cook, you probably make hot things on occasion. therefore, you will probably need this, on occasion.
